Orange Box now available in Denver via Seeds of Exchange
Seeds of Exchange is the awesome brain-child of Sarah Davison-Tracy, a former Seattlite who now lives in Denver. The vision of Seeds of Exchange is to create partnerships between women of different cultures & provide the opportunity to purchase goods that help to foster women's business endeavors in the developing world. After visiting a rockin' SOE party in Poulsbo a couple of weeks ago and a conversation with the founder herself, SOE in Denver will carry Orange Box - the next party is on February 10. Talk about taking it back to the roots of fair trade, Sarah is hooked up with several artisans in India who make beautiful products to support their families. At the SOE party in Poulsbo, I bought a bunch of cards made by Malika and Meena. Check out pictures and more about SOE at http://seedsofexchange.spaces.live.comMeena lives in the North Indian Himalayas. Her cards feature beautiful pressed flowers in different arrangements. During the Poulsbo SOE party, I was talking with a woman who visited Meena at her home and she told me that Meena uses her daughters old school books and presses flowers her husband gathers between the pages. All around her house, you can find stacks of books with flowers peeking out. How cool is that?!? (Not to mention resourceful). A big shout out to my fellow female entrepreneurs a couple of states away and around the globe.
